The whole stadium rises to salute Kerolin as she goes off to a standing ovation. What a performance. It’s one we’ll remember for a very long time.
65 min: Chelsea are next to make a change, with James making way for Johanna Rytting Kaneryd.
64 min: Manchester City make a double change as Kerolin makes her way off the pitch to an incredible standing ovation. She is replaced by Aoba Fujino. Meanwhile, Blindkilde Brown makes way for Sam Coffey.
62 min: Kaptein has the ultimate chance to get one back for Chelsea when Blindkilde Brown slips in possession just outside the box. The midfielder finds herself in plenty of space in front of goal and looks to lob Yamashita, but fires her effort over the bar!
60 min: Miedema steals the ball from James and looks to break forward. She manages to play it wide to Shaw while being held back, but the ball eventually runs out for a throw-in.

59 min: Good news for City – Yamashita is able to play on for now following that collision.
58 min: Yamashita is currently down with a head injury after a collision from a corner.
55 min: Miedema snatches the ball from Carpenter before playing it through to Hemp, who crosses into Kerolin. The winger then completes her hat-trick with a close-range finish into the bottom-right corner.

51 min: Chelsea have made two changes following that goal. Sam Kerr is on to replace Buurman, with Cuthbert making way for Sjoeke Nüsken.
50 min: Chelsea have a corner but Manchester City can clear and go for the counter attack. Hemp threads the ball through to Kerolin, who starts the run in her own half. The Brazilian’s pace is too much for Bright and Walsh and she goes one-on-one with Hampton before chipping the ball over the goalkeeper with ease.

We’re back under way!
That was an excellent first-half performance from Manchester City. The WSL leaders posed much more of a threat than their opponents. Chelsea had a good spell midway through but could not make the most of their chances.
The Blues need a huge second half to salvage something from this game.

43 min: City break forward and Hemp plays the ball over to Kerolin on the right, who looks for a first-time cross to the edge of the six-yard box. Hasegawa attempts to get a foot to it but narrowly misses out and Chelsea can clear the danger.
42 min: Chelsea have a corner. Baltimore sends it in but City head it clear with ease.

Chelsea had played very well since the first goal. With that spell of pressure, they were by far the stronger of the two sides, but they didn’t manage to score while they were on top. Now they’re furious at what they feel was a foul on Girma by Shaw. But the officials are having none of it and it’s 2-0…
37 min: Miedema snatches the ball from Kaptein in midfield before playing a pass through to Shaw, who shrugs off a challenge from Girma before slotting the ball past Hampton.
City are in control – of this game and the title race. They are on their way to being 12 points clear.
