Michael’s Café at JGS Lifecare Reopens with Refreshed Menu
LONGMEADOW, MA – February 1, 2026 – JGS Lifecare, a leading healthcare system serving seniors and their families and an affiliate of Legacy Lifecare, is pleased to announce the grand reopening of michael’s Café on Thursday, February 19th, at 2:30 p.m. The café, a beloved dining venue, will welcome residents, families, staff, volunteers, and the wider Longmeadow community.
A Tribute to Michael Frankel
Michael’s Café is named in honor of Michael Frankel, a former board chair and dedicated supporter of JGS Lifecare, who passed away in 2013. The café was envisioned as a central gathering place within the Sosin Center for Rehabilitation, offering kosher dining options and fostering a sense of community. The construction of the café was made possible through donations raised during the Project Transformation Campaign.
