Microsoft has announced a digital event for new Surface products, among other things. There were already rumors about a Surface Laptop 6 and a Surface Pro 10 with an OLED screen, in addition to a function to search your own usage history on Windows 11.
Microsoft calls the event ‘a new era of work’, according to the page. The event is scheduled for Thursday evening at six o’clock Dutch time on March 21. It’s not just about Windows, Surface and Copilot, as the slogan states.
The most important new feature in Windows would be ‘AI Explorer’, according to an earlier rumor. This makes everything on a PC searchable using natural language. For example, users could ask the function to search for a list of restaurants that a friend has ever recommended in, for example, an email or a chat conversation.
In terms of hardware, this concerns a Surface Pro 10 with OLED screen and a Surface Laptop 6. According to rumors, these will be released this spring, with Intel and Arm variants. The Surface Pro 10 would have a similar design to the previous Pro 9. The differences would be in the OLED screen, which can be brighter and supports HDR. In addition, the device would have an improved camera and a built-in NFC reader.
The Laptop 6 is said to have thinner bezels and more rounded corners than its predecessor. According to the sources, the laptop will have two USB-C ports and a USB-A port on the left side, and the magnetic charging port on the right side of the device.
