Only those who stick with game consoles that rival the Xbox will have to pay full price.

The clarification of the future plans of the Microsoft game empire, which became gigantic with the acquisition of Activision Blizzard, continues. The company recently announced that it will release some of its games made for the PC and Xbox platforms on Sony PlayStation and Nintendo Switch machines, and it does not want to exit the game console market, reports Origo.

Phil Spencer, the head of Microsoft’s video game business, said as a guest of Game File that the promises made years ago about the Xbox Game Pass game rental are still alive.

The company aims to make all the games created by the studios it owns available on the service from day one for PC and Xbox platforms,

and in addition to Xbox Game Studios members, this also applies to the games of Zenimax and Activision Blizzard subsidiary companies – the newspaper reports.

In other words, in the not-too-distant future, gamers with an Xbox Game Pass subscription who play on PC and Xbox Series machines will no longer have to buy, for example, the newer parts of Call Of Duty at full price, only those with PlayStation and Nintendo Switch machines will be forced to do so.

Call of Duty is currently not available on Nintendo consoles, but Microsoft has agreed to bring the series to Japanese handheld consoles for at least 10 years if the acquisition is completed.
