The Minister of Public Administration, Labor and Social Security assured this Wednesday, 6th, that the Executive will study the unions’ proposal to increase the minimum wage in the order of 245 thousand kwanzas.

Speaking to RNA, Teresa Dias said that to this end, the Executive and the union centers will meet again, within 45 days, to discuss the unions’ request, the proposal for which was presented today in Luanda, at the first social consultation meeting. .

At the meeting, the Minister of State for Economic Coordination, José de Lima Massano, also presented what the Executive has been doing to improve the performance of the economy.

It should be remembered that with the decrease in workers’ purchasing power, due to the increase in the prices of basic food products, the unions are announcing a general strike in order, among other improvements, to receive feedback from the Government on the increase in the minimum wage. national, which today is 32,181.15 kwanzas.

According to the Kianda’s Mail previously published, the Minister of Public Administration, Labor and Social Security had considered the union centrals’ proposal to adopt a national minimum wage of 250 thousand kwanzas to be unrealistic.
