She is smart, beautiful, but also criticized. The young woman who will represent Romania at the Miss World 2024 competition, in India, has her share of hate in the online environment. Ada-Maria Ileana answered those who attacked her.
Ada is 25 years old, from Bucharest and has a Master of Science in Public Policy at the prestigious University College London. She has a degree in Security Studies and is passionate about international relations and diplomacy.
For 6 years, Ada has been working as an English teacher, certified by Cambridge. Her work with children made her want to improve the educational system in Romania. Thus, it lays the foundations of an NGO that campaigns for quality educational policies. Ada previously represented Romania at two international beauty contests: Miss Tourism World 2018 (China) and Miss Tourism International 2018 (Malaysia), where she won an international title.
Degree in security studies
“Graduate in security studies, is there anything else in this country untouched by security?”, is a comment that bothered Ada-Maria. In the “La Măruță” show, the young woman answered those who challenge her and who believe that such studies are related to the Security. Ada specified that this is only a field of political studies and international relations.
“The competition starts on the 18th, and the final will take place on March 9, so it’s a long-term competition, with a lot of tests, it requires a lot of preparation. (…) The most important is Beauty With a Purpose, it is the charitable part where we present our project. I’m going to talk about the NGO I lead, we take care of the girls from the placement centers, we prepare them to have a diploma and an income in the field of Beauty after they leave the center. (…) It’s a story close to the center and home because my father was in a foster care center, he was adopted at three years old and he was given a chance to succeed. I wanted others to get this chance,” the young woman explained, according to PRO TV.
