The National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) acknowledged this tension, stating the importance of both game integrity and the presumption of innocence - both of which are being undermined by the focus on player popularity to attract betting attention.

- Lobby for Federal Regulation: The NBA should continue to advocate for a federal ban on prop bets, prioritizing the health of the game and its fanbase.
The NBA has an opportunity to set an example for other leagues and demonstrate a commitment to protecting the integrity of its sport. This isn’t just about basketball; it’s about safeguarding the future of all professional athletics.
