The Atlanta Hawks traded franchise cornerstone Trae Young, who had amassed nearly 500 games played and established franchise records in both assists and three-pointers, in exchange for veteran CJ McCollum, a consistent 20+ point scorer for ten consecutive seasons, and the 26-year-old Corey Kispert.

Kispert has consistently demonstrated his proficiency as a three-point shooter throughout his five-year career, all spent with the Washington Wizards. Initially selected by washington with the 15th overall pick in the 2021 draft, he evolved into a dependable contributor off the bench, simultaneously refining his personal style.
