Netflix is working on a series about singer Julio Iglesias. It is the first time that the eighty-year-old Spanish artist has participated in a production about his life.
“After much speculation, books and documentaries that I have not been involved in, I have decided to tell the truth about my life for the first time,” the singer said in a statement.
Iglesias started his career as a goalkeeper for Real Madrid football club, but became best known as a singer after a car accident. With international hits such as Love me a lot in A Song of Galicia he is one of the best-selling Spanish artists in the world.
Julio is the father of Enrique Iglesias, who also has a successful singing career.
The series is still in the works. The release date is not yet known.
