After the initial rush, demand for tickets for Adele’s single-venue, multi-concert European tour began to drop sharply. The reason for this is still a mystery even to industry experts, but it seems certain that it may have something to do with the singer’s also mysterious silence.

The star, who is returning to the old continent after an 8-year hiatus, is scheduled to give 10 concerts in Munich in August. A special “pop up” arena is being built for the performances of the sixteen-time Grammy award-winning singer, which can accommodate 80,000 fans. This means that the organizers expect to sell 800,000 tickets – writes the German news portal n-tv.de.

However, a month after the much-publicized start of sales, piles of tickets are still towering in the box office.

According to the analyses, one of the reasons for the drop in demand is the high price of tickets.

The cheapest ticket costs 75 euros, fans are admitted to the right sectors close to the stage for 420 euros, and for the best seats they ask for 700 euros. It is no surprise that the cheaper tickets sold out quickly, while the more expensive ones are not in a hurry for now.

Many fans may be deterred from the big expense of traveling thousands of kilometers because Adele may once again cancel her performance.

This year, in February, he announced that due to his illness, the March concerts of his series in Las Vegas, which has been going on for years, will be cancelled.

The fact that the artist, who has Emmy, Oscar and Golden Globe awards, has not given any sign of life on social media since the announcement does not help to boost sales either.

Adele released her fourth studio album – 30 – in October 2021, which reached the top of the sales charts in almost 30 countries. Choosing an unconventional solution in the global pop industry – following the path trodden by Celine Dion – she signed a contract for a permanent series of concerts at the Colosseum in Las Vegas and did not do a world tour.

The planned Munich series is similar to this model, but so far it is not producing the expected results.
