OPPO Could Be the First Chinese Brand to embrace Native MagSafe-Like Technology with Find X10 Series
OPPO is reportedly considering integrating magnets directly into its future smartphone models, possibly starting with the Find X10 series expected in 2027. This move would signify a shift from the current “Qi2 Ready” approach, wich requires a magnetic case for optimal wireless charging and accessory compatibility, to a system more akin to Apple’s MagSafe.
Currently, OPPO phones support the Qi2 wireless charging standard, but rely on magnetic cases for proper alignment and secure attachment of accessories. Embedding magnets directly into the phone’s chassis would streamline the experience,eliminating the need for a case and offering a more seamless integration with magnetic accessories.
According to sources, this feature is being considered for the Find X10 series, meaning the initial X10 models would still likely depend on magnetic cases, with a full native implementation potentially arriving with the Find X10s or X10s Pro. If realized, OPPO would become the first Chinese smartphone manufacturer to adopt this technology.
This development aligns with a growing trend of brands developing magnetic ecosystems for their devices. Native magnets would represent a significant quality-of-life improvement for users, enhancing the convenience and functionality of wireless charging and accessory attachment.
