The number of offers for sale of recreational plots in the first quarter of 2024 increased by 190%. year to year – reported the Polish Economic Institute. In April, there were over a thousand sales offers per week. However, the average price per square meter also increased by over one third.

” – indicates the Polish Economic Institute in the latest “Tygodnik Gospodarczy”.

The Institute pointed out that by the end of 2023, the indicator in no quarter exceeded 300 announcements per week, meanwhile

in the first quarter of this year it was an average of 491 offers

and the second quarter of 2024 may bring even greater growth, maintaining the level from April 2024. Only in the last month, on average, over 1,000 offers entered the market every week.

Huge increase in plot sales in Poland. Prices up significantly

The analysis shows that

offers for sale of recreational plots appear primarily in large cities

. Since the beginning of 2024, most of them were in Warsaw, Wrocław, Szczecin and Poznań. Over 300 such advertisements appeared in the capital between January and April this year. In other cities, the range was from 240 to 280.

A large number of offers also appeared in counties with the so-called bagels

, i.e. areas near large cities. “160 offers appeared in the Poznań and Bydgoszcz poviats, while in the Wołomin poviat (bordering on Warsaw) the number of offers was 85,” the report indicates.

PIE emphasizes that the prices of plots have increased, but this increase was to a lesser extent than the supply.

In the first quarter, a square meter of recreational plot cost PLN 331 on average in the country

, which is an increase of 38%. Every year.

The winter quarters – the first and fourth – are usually characterized by lower prices of land for recreational purposes. This means that prices may continue to increase in subsequent periods of this year, the institute indicates.
