After almost a week of anguish and expectation, Renata Rafaely dos Santos Martins, a 27-year-old pregnant woman pregnant with twins, finally performed an emergency cesarean section and gave birth to little Bianca and Ivanathis Tuesday (09), at Hospital Santa Casa de Ponta Grossa.

Renata was urgently hospitalized on Monday (05) due to complications in her pregnancy, which required an immediate cesarean section. The five-day wait was marked by tension and concern for the patient’s family and friends, who faced a delicate health condition.

The surgery, carried out at Santa Casa Hospital itself, began around 3pm this afternoon. The procedure went smoothly, and both the mother and the babies are doing well, according to reports.

However, little Ivana, one of the twins, has a heart malformation and after birth, she had to undergo surgery to insert a pacemaker. The baby is expected to be discharged by Thursday (15), after post-operative medical evaluation.

Both Renata and her family are grateful for the support and mobilization on social media regarding her situation.
