Ubisoft ended last year quite well with Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and opened this year very strongly with Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. It just looks like this hasn’t translated into good sales.

According to Tom Henderson of Insider Gaming, the aforementioned Ubisoft titles have not performed as expected in terms of sales. According to Henderson, the sales numbers of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown are the most disappointing. This title reportedly sold only 300,000 copies, generating approximately $15 million in revenue.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is said to have sold 1.9 million copies (digitally). This represents a revenue of $133 million. That is considerably less than previous titles from Massive Entertainment. For example, The Division grossed approximately $330 million and its sequel $264 million in the same time frame.
