melipilla,⁢ Chile – Riders from Criadero Las Callanas, Francisco ‍Vial and Tomás Cornejo, have qualified for the Clasificatorio Norte ⁣in Melipilla after ⁣a successful performance at⁣ a recent rodeo competition.⁣ They secured first place riding⁣ the horses⁢ Nieto Regalón and Riachuelo, accumulating 27 ⁢good points.

Cornejo expressed his excitement to Caballoyrodeo.cl, ⁣stating, “I’m happy, we managed to complete it on the last date and I’m⁣ very happy because we achieved what we ⁤were looking for.” He added,⁤ “winning was the‍ only way they could catch us on points, and thankfully it worked out.”

Cornejo also highlighted his positive start with Las callanas, noting, “I’m very ⁤happy to have completed a⁣ collera after recently joining, I’m very happy⁣ about that. I’ve been coming to the Clasificatorios for ⁤four consecutive years now, so we’re keeping the⁣ streak⁤ alive.” He ‍praised the quality of the cattle,⁢ describing‍ them⁢ as “American, top-notch,” and expressed gratitude for achieving their goal. The team is now ⁤focused on preparing for the upcoming competition ‍in ⁣Melipilla.

Criadero Doña ⁣Tuca finished in second place with Emiliano Ruiz Lobos and his⁤ son, Emiliano Ruiz Montilla, ⁢riding Condenao and Quintrala, earning ⁤19 good points and an additional four in the tiebreaker.

Gonzalo Vial and ⁢Luis Eduardo Cortés took third place, riding Los Gachos ⁣Encapuchado and Las Callanas Viajante with 19 great points and three‍ more in the extra bull round.

Other performances from Criadero Las Callanas included Gonzalo⁣ Vial and Luis Eduardo Cortés on Tronador⁢ and Belarmino ⁢(17 points) and Saltamonte and astuto II (16 points). Eduardo Cortés and Luis Catalán also competed with‍ Santa Ana de Melipilla este Chico and El Gaucho Pretenciosa, scoring 14 points.
