Intercity Train Passengers Stranded in Southwest France following Power Failure
A significant disruption impacted rail travel in southwestern France on Sunday, October 26th, as an Intercités train experienced a prolonged outage between Bordeaux and Agen. Passengers found themselves stranded for nearly five hours due to a problem with the train’s electrical supply.
The incident, believed to be caused by a catenary rupture – damage to the overhead power lines – occurred around 6:45 PM between Cadaujac and Saint-Médard-d’Eyrans, both located just south of Bordeaux.
