The Mayor’s Office of Cali established an agreement with the San Miguel ESE Geriatric and Elderly Hospital to subsidize 282 elderly people, thus contributing to the care and attention of this elderly population so that they have decent living conditions.
The beneficiaries have been prioritized by the Elderly Care Center, considering that they lack economic resources, are highly vulnerable, and lack a family and social network.

As reported by Luisa Fernanda Benítez, leader of the care center for the elderly, “through this inter-administrative contract, the Ministry of Social Welfare provides comprehensive support to this population group, including shelter, food, medical care, dental care, and speech therapy. , nutrition, specialized gerontologists, psychosocial support, among other services.”
This joint effort seeks to promote the well-being of older people in the city of Cali, providing them with a safe place and adequate care, thus improving their quality of life.
