The DRDP Craiova employee, injured in the accident in Răcari, died
The employee from the Regional Directorate of Roads and Bridges (DRDP) Craiova who was seriously injured following the accident on April 24 died in hospital, the institution’s representatives announced on Saturday. In the tragic accident, a 45-year-old woman, the man’s colleague, lost her life.
“With all the superhuman efforts made by the medical staff, with all the prayers of the family and colleagues, our colleague injured in the tragic accident on DN 6, 2 weeks ago, did not manage to overcome the severity of the injuries he suffered and died. We are with the hard-pressed family and we will help with everything needed, like a real family that we are”, said Călin Cosmin, the regional director of DRDP Craiova.
On April 24, DRDP Craiova teams were on DN 6, in the town of Răcari, performing unclogging works.
“On DN 6, within the radius of the town of Răcari, there was a very, very serious road accident. Police officers from Filiaşi went to the scene. A 68-year-old man, a Bulgarian citizen, while driving a combination of vehicles (TIR) on DN 6, collided head-on with a van that he was driving in two people:
- a 45-year-old woman,
- a 54-year-old man. They were carrying out maintenance work on the roadway, on lane 1″, according to the report IPJ Dolj.
