In monetary terms, last year’s imports to India amounted to 2.2 billion. US dollars, to the US – 1.6 billion. US dollars.
The top five in terms of fertilizer imports is completed by China, which purchased 2.1 million. tons of fertilizer for 892 million US dollars and Indonesia, to which 481 million went. costing 1.1 million US dollars. tons.
Turkey (936 thousand tons for 344.6 million tons), Denmark (887 thousand tons for 324 million tons), Germany (677 thousand tons for 258.6 million tons) entered the top ten buyers of Russian fertilizers last year ), France (676.5 thousand t for 238 million US dollars) and Malaysia (623 thousand t for 242 million US dollars).
The following Top 10 countries have increased imports from Russia the most over the past couple of years: Denmark (5.6 times), India (4.2 times), Germany (3.2 times) and France (2.2 times). And here, the export of fertilizers to China decreased by 18 percent.
Compared to 2021 results, the leaders in terms of imports were no longer Poland, whose purchase volume decreased from 943 thousand. tons to 612.5 thousand, Kazakhstan (from 464.5 thousand t to 423), Argentina (from 498 thousand t to 58 thousand t) and Canada, which stopped importing Russian fertilizers altogether.
According to publicly available data, in 2023 Russia exported fertilizers to 72 countries of the world and for 32 million. tons received almost 14 billion US dollars. This is more than in 2022, when 27 million were exported. tons for 20 billion US dollars. On the other hand, some of the countries that are not classified as the main importers of Russian fertilizers have not yet published data, so the results may change.
At the same time, information appeared that the volume of trade between Russia and Japan decreased at the beginning of this year. In annual terms, they contracted by 16.5 percent. – up to 690 million US dollars. The supply of goods from Japan decreased by 33.6 percent, from Russia – by 10.2 percent.
