Thijs Römer reported to prison on Friday to serve the one-month prison sentence he was given last year for abusing three underage girls online. Maartje Schaap, the victims’ lawyer, confirmed this after a message about this from juice channel Reality FBI.

For privacy reasons, no announcements have been made as to where Römer has reported.

The 45-year-old Römer reported at the beginning of this month that he will not appeal against his sentence. In August, the court in Assen convicted him of online sexual offenses with three underage girls. He was given a prison sentence of three months, two of which were conditional. He was also given a maximum community service of 240 hours and must undergo treatment at a mental health institution.

Römer initially appealed because he did not recognize himself in the verdict, but later decided against it. “I realize that the events have had a major impact on the victims and that only one person is responsible: myself,” he said.
