Seniors will receive a thirteenth pension along with the April benefit. This means that in April, seniors receive a larger transfer from ZUS: a basic pension and a thirteenth pension.

What will be the transfers this year? It is already known that the indexation rate in 2024 will be 12.12%. This indicator is key information in the case of “thirteen-year-olds”, because the payment of this benefit depends on the increase in the minimum pension.

Taking into account the announced indicator, it was calculated that the minimum pension will be from March 1, 2024 will amount to PLN 1,780.96 gross. This will also be the rate of the thirteenth pension. However, it should be remembered that the in-hand payments will differ, because an advance payment for income tax and health insurance premiums will be charged on the gross amount. The government had previously announced that pensions would increase by a minimum of 12.3 percent from March. The final increases are slightly lower.
