This isn’t debate; it’s a systematic inversion of values. Restraint is weakness. cruelty is strength. War crimes are rebranded as “winning wars according to our own rules.” And the constraints of alliances, built on mutual obligation and shared security, are seen as impediments to be ignored.
The Demand for Stupidity

When faced with the impossibility of defending war crimes, the response isn’t to acknowledge wrongdoing, but to redefine those crimes as virtuous acts - as part of a “warrior ethos.” This isn’t a matter of differing interpretations; it’s a deliberate attempt to warp reality to fit a predetermined narrative.
These two responses - fracture and redefinition – serve a single, insidious purpose: to avoid the tough choice between honesty and ostracism. It’s a strategy designed to protect individuals from the consequences of their beliefs and actions, even if it means sacrificing intellectual integrity.
The consequences are profound.
