Video platform TikTok has released an app for Vision OS, the operating system of the Apple Vision Pro headset. The interface has been “rebuilt from the ground up” for the headset, the company says.
The TikTok app has been released as a ‘spatial app’, says the company. A TikTok executive previously said that the app was coming and that it involved a redesign of the app. The interface shows the tabs on the far left with the For You page, search and your own profile. In addition, the video plays and the window next to it shows information from the video creator’s profile or a comments panel.
In addition, it is possible to play videos without the right panel. The search window takes up the entire width of the app and shows two rows of four videos. The app is one of the first major apps after the release of the Vision Pro itself almost two weeks ago. Many video platform apps are available, but YouTube and Netflix, among others, are missing. A YouTube app will come.
