The gray weather that prevailed over the weekend will give way to sunny weather to start the week, but for a short time, while a low-pressure regime will cause the mercury to drop with showers.

The weather will therefore be pleasant at the start of the week with generous sunshine and temperatures exceeding 20 degrees in southwestern Quebec, particularly in Montreal.

An alternation of sun and clouds is expected in the center of the province, clouds will appear to disrupt this feeling of good weather, but temperatures will be pleasant, according to Environment Canada.

The situation will be rather nuanced in Eastern Quebec where certain sectors could receive a few intermittent rain showers, while clearings are expected elsewhere, under comfortable temperatures.

Tuesday, the good weather will continue with sunshine and a still rising mercury that could exceed 22 degrees in certain areas of the south and center of the province, according to forecasts from the federal agency.

On the other hand, the sectors of Eastern Quebec will experience mixed fortunes with dense clouds and a 60% probability of showers, particularly in Gaspésie where temperatures will be dropping, as if to anticipate the grilling planned for Wednesday.

This gray weather will be accompanied by rainy weather and a descent of cool air which will cause temperatures to drop below seasonal norms in several areas, including in southern Quebec, according to the federal agency.
