Toyota Launches “Move Your World Beat” Regional Music Project with Asian Artists

Toyota Motor Asia has officially launched “Move Your World Beat,” a regional musical collaboration bringing together six artists from Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam to compose original tracks using sounds produced by cars.

Unveiled in Singapore on July 29 in partnership with the creative agency VIRTUE Asia, the cross-border initiative aims to connect young creators across the region by blending traditional cultural heritage with contemporary expressions. Rather than promoting a specific vehicle model, the project focuses on creative collaboration and cultural mobility.

“At the heart of the ‘Move Your World’ initiative lie Toyota’s commitment to the communities of Asia, the freedom of movement, and the joy and enthusiasm of moving together,” Jaja Ishibashi, managing director of Toyota Motor Asia, said.

“By supporting creators and bringing together diverse voices, we hope to inspire new forms of expression and demonstrate that by moving together, we can create something much greater than what each of us could accomplish alone,” Ishibashi added.

A Diverse Lineup of Regional Artists

The project features a roster of artists from six distinct markets. The participants include multi-instrumentalist and DJ Belle Sisoski from Malaysia, and ethnomusicologist and musician Natasha Noorani from Pakistan.

They are joined by Miguel Benjamin and Paolo Benjamin of the Philippine folk-pop band Ben&Ben, Singaporean singer and producer Shye, Thai-Italian artist and songwriter Valentina Ploy, and Vietnamese music producer and DJ 2pillz.

The collective brings together various musical backgrounds. Organizers designed the roster to highlight the diversity of the region.

Transforming Automotive Mechanics Into Sonic Art

At the core of the creative challenge is the transformation of functional vehicle sounds into musical elements. Participating artists are tasked with recording and manipulating sounds proper to a Toyota—ranging from subtle clicks and ambient hums to elaborate sounds—and incorporating them into original compositions.

By turning everyday operational sounds into creative building blocks, the initiative reframes physical mobility as an emotional and cultural medium. Each musician is interpreting these audio samples through their own signature style, creating a bridge between industrial engineering and regional artistic heritage.

The initiative is structured as a living platform rather than a simple campaign. Toyota provides the stage while leaving the creators of Asia to lead the dance.

Timeline and What Happens Next

The rollout of “Move Your World Beat” is scheduled to unfold in phases. Individual artists will first release their own compositions developed during the sound-design challenge.

Following the individual releases, the six creators will merge their distinct styles and samples into a unified regional collaborative track, which is slated for release in late 2026.
