TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The National Winning Team or TPN Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud Md. respond if their request to dispute the results of the Presidential Election is rejected by Constitutional Court aka MK.

“What will be our future actions if the Constitutional Court rejects our team’s request? Until today, we have not thought that far,” said a TPN spokesperson. Ganjar-MahfudChico Judge, to TempoFriday, April 19 2024.

Chico said that TPN Ganjar-Mahfud was still thinking positively and hoped that the request for dispute over the results of the general election or PHPU Presidential Election would be granted by the panel of constitutional judges.

“Of course we are very optimistic, because we believe that the judges who will decide the case – eight judges – are judges who have integrity,” said Chico.

As is known, there are eight Constitutional Court judges who handle disputes over the results of the Presidential Election. They are Suhartoyo, Saldi Isra, Arief Hidayat, Enny Nurbaningsih, Daniel Yusmic Pancastaki Foekh, M. Guntur Hamzah, Ridwan Mansyur, and Arsul Sani.

Meanwhile, former Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court Anwar Usman did not handle the PHPU case 2024 presidential election, for committing serious ethical violations. This is in accordance with the decision of the Honorary Council of the Constitutional Court aka MKMK number 2/MKMK/L/11/2023.

“Of course they (MK judges) also have a mission to save the dignity and prestige of the Constitutional Court which has recently fallen into decline due to conflicts of interest,” said Chico.

This conflict of interest, according to this PDIP politician, is reflected in the MKMK’s decision to remove Anwar Usman, as well as the impact of the MK’s decision number 90/PUU-XXI/2023 regarding the age limit for presidential and vice-presidential candidates which allows Anwar’s nephew, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, to become Prabowo Subianto’s vice presidential candidate.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Deputy for Legal Affairs of TPN Ganjar-Mahfud, Todung Mulya Lubis, was reluctant to answer the next steps if candidate pair number 03’s application was rejected by the Constitutional Court.
