The tickets, with a face value of 15 euros, were being sold on the internet for prices ranging up to 75 euros, which constitutes an illegal act. Forgery of tickets is also involved.

The Food and Economic Security Authority, through the National Information and Criminal Investigation Unit, carried out an inspection operation to combat the irregular sale of tickets and illicit speculation. At stake is the game between FC Porto and Benfica, on Sunday night.

In a statement, ASAE learned that the two individuals were trying to sell tickets online. The acts led to their arrest, in flagrante delicto, in the metropolitan area of ​​Porto, the city where the game takes place. 20 tickets were seized and two criminal proceedings were opened.

With face values ​​of 15 euros, the tickets in question were being sold for prices ranging between 35 and 70 euros. After all, the profit rose to 470% compared to the cost shown on the tickets themselves.

Of the tickets seized, seven were fake, which is why the offense of forgery of documents and fraud is still at stake.

The detainees will be brought before the Court on Monday, for a possible trial hearing in summary proceedings. ASAE recalls that the sale of tickets above the official price constitutes the crime of irregular ticket sales, punishable by a prison sentence of up to 3 years.
