According to an American dietitian, two foods particularly increase the risk of cancer.

“I get asked questions every day about what increases the risk of cancer,” said dietitian Nichole Andrews in a video posted on the social network TikTok which was viewed nearly 20,000 times in one day.

“Processed meats and alcohol, those are the only two products that will increase the risk of cancer,” she added.

The main interested party, who wrote the book Sugar Does Not Feed Cancer: The Complete Guide to Cancer Prevention Nutrition & Lifestylealso demystified certain aspects.

Energy drinks, non-organic products, food colors, artificial sweeteners, eggs, dairy and gluten do not contribute to increased cancer risks.

“This is based on decades of research from around the world,” said Nichole Andrews.

According to the Quebec Ministry of Health and Social Services, the number of new cases of cancer increased from 35,835 new diagnoses in 1999 to 60,113 in 2019 in the province.
