A Proven Leader in the Arts & Community
For over two decades,Sweet has demonstrated remarkable leadership within the nonprofit sector. Most recently, she served as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at des Moines Performing Arts.
During her tenure at Des Moines Performing Arts, she successfully spearheaded major capital projects and significantly advanced revenue and audience growth. She also championed inclusive cultural initiatives, prioritizing accessibility, safety, and genuine community input.
Prior to 2012, Sweet held key leadership positions at the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts in St. Paul and the Lied Center for Performing Arts at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Her skillset encompasses:
