Uzone.id – “This village is one of the oldest villages on the island of Bali“That’s what one resident of Tenganan Village, often called bli Goblah, said to us. Tenganan Village, or known as Tenganan Pegringsingan, is one of the traditional villages in Bali which is located in Manggis District, Karangasem Regency.

Tim Uzone.id invited by Xiaomi Indonesia to explore this ancient tourist village which is still beautiful and has strong cultural aspects, as well as to try out the camera’s capabilities smartphone flagship Latest Xiaomi 14.

The camera combination is maximized by tone colors similar to original Leica cameras, namely Leica Authentic and Leica Vibrant. Leica Authentic provides authentic Leica camera-style quality with more natural colors, while Vibrant provides sharper color adaptation than usual.

We used this powerful camera to photograph the charm of Tenganan Pegringsingan Village, which is better known as the Bali Aga village or old village because it still reflects the culture and customs of the pre-Majapahit era.

Beautiful, one word that fits to describe the atmosphere of Tenganan Village. The natural scenery stretches out wide and is beautiful, the traditional houses in Tenganan Village are a characteristic and attraction for tourists.

“The buildings here don’t have any floors, they still maintain old traditions,” Goblah explained, while walking towards his house which became ‘basecamp’ while we were stopping at Tenganan Village.

One of the attractions of Tenganan Village is the customs and culture that they continue to maintain to this day, even amidst the onslaught of modernization.

Like traditional clothing, for example, young women there will wear traditional cloth with golden shades during the Jantra Swing event, a tradition carried out after the Mekaré-karé or pandan war which is regularly held every June.

They also wore luxurious gold head accessories, with patterns and details that captivated the eye.Â

Captured with the Xiaomi 14 camera, we took advantage of Portrait mode with the Master-lens System feature, then switched to focal length between 50 mm and 75 mm.Â

The results are as below. The Xiaomi 14 camera creates photos with incredible detail and dramatic colors with minimal effects vignette.

While in Tenganan Village, we often use the Leica Authentic color mode which is very suitable for depicting the culture and charm of this Bali Aga village.

Like one of its characteristics, namely the handicraft weaving of Gringsing cloth. Did you know, one Gringsing cloth takes up to a year to make!

“This fabric uses colors that exist in nature,” explained Goblah.

The process of making Gringsing cloth is so complicated and long that the price of this traditional woven cloth can be priced at tens of millions of Rupiah.

We captured the details of the Gringsing fabric using a Leica Telephoto which has Floating Telephoto Lens technology. This technology allows us to take photos like using a lens tele-macro using 3.2x optical-zoom from a distance as close as 10cm.Â
