In 2016, a relatively low-key adventure game was released on PC and PlayStation 4 Small Radios Big Televisions. Behind the title is independent developer Owen Deery, who a few days ago fans on Twitter informed, that the game will be withdrawn from sale on Steam and the official PlayStation Store in the coming weeks. However, the decision to end sales was not made by the developer himself, but by Warner Bros. Discovery and its partner company Adult Swim Games, which participated in the launch of the title as a publisher.
Instead of just announcing, Owen Deery decided his title with a twist offer free download to all interested parties. You can download the PC version here. His welcoming step was deservedly met with a positive reaction from the player community. It is important to note that Deery continued to receive shares from the individual copies sold, and nothing forced him to make his work available for free even before the end of the sale. Players, on the other hand, are criticizing Warner Bros., which did not explain the reasons for withdrawing the game from digital distribution.
WarnerBros Discovery have informed me they will be ‘retiring’ my game Small Radios Big Televisions from both Steam and PS4 stores.
I’ve made it free to download here:
