The football federations of Latvia and Liechtenstein have agreed on a mutual test match on March 26 in Riga. It will not be Nikolato’s first game at the helm of the Latvian national team, as his debut is scheduled for March 21 in another test match in Larnaca against Cyprus.

It has also become known that Latvia will host Lithuania in the Baltic Cup semi-finals on June 8, while Estonia will play against the Faroe Islands in the second semi-final.

Jauns.lv already announced that in the fall of the Nations League Group C, the Latvian national team will compete twice with the national teams of Armenia, North Macedonia and the Faroe Islands. The first game is to be played away to Armenia on September 7, and on September 10 we will host Feru Salas at home.

In the second match window, on October 10, the Latvians will face North Macedonia at home and on October 13 away, they will meet again with the Faroe Islands, while in the third window, on November 14, Latvia will play away games with North Macedonia and on November 17, they will face Armenia at home.

After three seasons in the tournament’s lowest level, the D League, this year the Latvian national team will debut in the C League. League C will have a total of four groups. Four selections in each of them. Therefore, each national team will have six games in the group stage of this tournament – three at home and three on the road. The winner of each group will automatically gain promotion to League B. On the other hand, the worst two of the fourth place winners will automatically be relegated to the D League. The two fourth-place winners with better scores will have to participate in the “play-off” in March next year to keep their place in the C League.
