Bilkent University National Nanotechnology Research Center (UNAM) has developed a wearable technology that allows early diagnosis by simultaneously measuring health values ​​such as heart rate, cardiovascular aging, and vascular elasticity using fiber sensor technology.

In our previous technology, we created a system using a braided fiber, but with our new technology, we can make measurements through a single fiber. We have developed a technology that can simultaneously measure health values ​​such as heartbeat, systolic-diastolic values ​​in blood, cardiovascular aging, vascular elasticity and breathing with a single fiber.

It produces its own electricity

An important feature of the technology is that it does not require additional power. Thanks to a single fiber placed on the pulse, the system can produce its own electricity with wrist or pressure movements. This signal can be transmitted to a computer or phone via wired or wireless systems and regular health data can be monitored.
