Viktor travels back to Nijehaske in Friesland. (Poisonous) conifers, espionage practices, noise pollution, taunting with a Michelangelo apron: two years ago, Eddy and Ingrid got into a big fight with their neighbors Sytze and Liesbeth and accusations flew back and forth. Two years later, unfortunately little has changed, except for one very sad fact: Liesbeth, who was ill during the recordings and had a tumor, has died.

“It doesn’t last,” says widower Sytze when Viktor visits him two years after the case. At that time it was exactly one year ago that his wife died. And although the neighbors say they take his grief into account, they are of the opinion that Sytze could have complied with Mr Visser’s statement about removing the conifers and the cameras.

“I just wasn’t ready for that,” Sytze explains about only partially removing his beloved conifers. “I took them out with my son, with tears in my eyes.” Now the neighbor is again threatening to file a lawsuit against Sytze. “You have given the neighbor a huge stick to hit with,” says Viktor about the fines that Sytze now risks.

There is now mainly empathy for Sytze from viewers. ‘A little empathy towards a grieving neighbor would have been appropriate,’ says X. ‘You guys, those blades can hardly be called conifers. His wife is deceased. And what a racket those people make themselves’, writes another. And: ‘Let that man rest, he has something else on his mind, everything else is completely unimportant now.’ Finally, when Sytze sings a song for Viktor and plays his guitar, which he also liked to sing for his wife, he certainly strikes a chord with some viewers.
