One of the nine axes that underpin the 2021-2024 Strategic Plan of the Terrassa Health Consortium is the promotion of innovation, research, teaching and the transfer of knowledge. Proof of this has been the structuring of research into groups, as well as the involvement of women in research and innovation in the CST.

Today, which is International Women’s Day, we want to highlight female leadership in the research groups of the Consorci Sanitari de Terrassa, a palpable reality for some time.

At the CST we currently have 13 research groups, 9 of which (69.2%) are led or co-led by women, in addition to being made up mostly of researchers (84.5%).

In 2023, at the level of the CST’s total scientific production (including research groups and other professionals), 124 female researchers have published scientific articles, compared to 46 men, that is, 76.3% of the CST’s scientific production is made by women.

Likewise, 15 projects have been subsidized, 10 of them led by women. The total number of projects that were being executed during 2023 was 21, 15 of them led by CST researchers.
