Xiaomi launched in the Chinese market last month outdoor security camera CW500 and now introduced a product with a virtually identical label. We have already gotten used to the fact that there is often confusion in the names of Chinese devices and that they often only differ minimally from each other in terms of equipment. However, this is not the case with the newly released novelty, and you will already notice the differences at first glance.

A dual version debuted in China Xiaomi Outdoor Camera CW500. Plain and simple, it’s two cameras in one, with the purpose of expanding the overall field of view. Each of the image sensors is turned in a different direction, so in the end the camera is capable to cover a large part of the land around the owner’s house.

So you definitely don’t have to worry about the low quality of the recorded videos. Each of the cameras is also accompanied by two white lights and a pair of infrared sensors that take care of night vision. It is also worth mentioning automatic person detectionwhich is essentially essential for modern security cameras.

The new design of the Xiaomi Outdoor Camera CW500 is included the HyperOS ecosystem and can be controlled using the MIJIA app. Plus, with the ability to connect to Wi-Fi, it’s easy to transfer videos from the camera to your smartphone. However, the recorded image can also be projected onto tablets, televisions or other Xiaomi devices.

The dual version of the Xiaomi Outdoor Camera CW500 will be available in China through a crowdfunding campaign with a price of 329 yuan, which translates to about 1,100 CZK without tax.
