The XII in Budapest will not start again. Zoltán Pokorni for the mayor’s seat of Fidesz. Krisztina Fonti, the deputy mayor until now, will be the candidate of the governing parties in Hegyvidék.
The decision was announced by her successor, Krisztina Fonti, on Facebook, adding that the ruling party’s mountainous group chose her as the mayoral candidate for the municipal election in June – writes 24.hu.
It has been a topic for months that Pokorni is planning to retire. The Two-Tailed Dog Party already asked the question on January 25 in the XII. on the Facebook page of the district organization: “Now should we announce that Pokorni will not start this year, or who will?”
The Fidesz politician told the portal at the time that he would not comment for the time being and cited that due to the delay in the nomination of the mayor, the district leaders were also asked in the ruling party to refrain from the public until the decision was made.
