A major traffic accident occurred in the city of Suzhou, China. More than 100 cars were involved in a series of collisions on one of the toll roads because the road was covered in snow.

As reported by , dramatic footage from Chinese state television, CCTV and a number of social media posts showed many cars piled up in a mess on the highway. A number of cars were in a wrecked condition and one of the cars suffered serious damage.

Shards of glass and car debris were seen strewn across the road.

The Suzhou Industrial Park traffic police report stated that three people were injured and are currently being treated in hospital. Meanwhile, six other people suffered minor scratches.

Traffic on this section of toll road, according to local police, has recovered. The cause of the collision is under investigation.
