According to the owner of the Portuguese airport concessionaire, this increase in revenue is reflected in an increase in the number of passengers throughout 2023, in a clear recovery of the travel sector.
ANA Aeroportos recorded record revenues worth 1,105 million euros last year. This is a growth of 22% compared to 2022, according to data from the Vinci group.
According to the owner of the Portuguese airport concessionaire, this increase in revenue is reflected in an increase in the number of passengers throughout 2023, in a clear recovery of the travel sector, with 66.3 million people passing through national airports.
The same data indicates that revenues in 2023 were 23% above the almost 900 million euros recorded in 2019, a pre-pandemic year and a reference for recovery comparisons. The number of passengers is also 12.2% higher than in 2019.
In total, the dealership owner ended the year with revenues of 3,947 million euros, an increase of 47% compared to the previous year. ANA contributed 28% of total revenue, approaching the 31% of Gatwick and Belfast airports in the United Kingdom.
It is important to remember that the Vinci group holds the concession for ten Portuguese airports until 2062, after purchasing ANA in 2012.
