ANDRY RAJOELINA – “Make the right choice”

Andry Rajoelina did not mention the former governor of Analan-jirofo during his speech.

During his trip to Analanjirofo, the President of the Republic spoke about the legislative elections and asked the population to “make the right choice”.

A wish is what Andry Rajoelina, President of the Republic, expressed during his trip to the Analanjirofo region yesterday. He shared this wish twice, first in Soanierana Ivongo, then in Fénérive-Est

In his two speeches, one at the start of the morning and the other at the end of the day, the Head of State addressed a political subject: the legislative elections. “As the elections approach, I would like to be able to work with people who will be by my side, but not people who will betray me or who will oppose development,” expressed the president.

“Make the right choice, (…) you know what you have to do,” added the tenant of Iavoloha. During his trip to the Analanjirofo region, Andry Rajoelina particularly insisted on the quality and reliability of employees. According to him, these criteria are imperative to achieve development objectives. He also stressed the importance of loyalty and sharing the same beliefs.

To support his remarks, the president took the example of the administration of the Analanjirofo region. Outright, he publicly criticized Dr Marcellin Randriamanantena, former governor of the region. The latter is one of three governors dismissed during the first Council of Ministers following the formation of the government in January. Present at the event, Dr Randriamanantena blushed upon hearing the presidential speech.

Change

“I’ll be blunt. The Analanjirofo region lags far behind the Atsinanana region. For what? Because the governor of the latter works. However, each region received equipment and the same subsidy of 2 billion ariary. In Analanjirofo, in addition, you benefit from the income from the exploitation of cloves,” said Andry Rajoelina in front of the inhabitants of Fénérive-Est. He also criticized the deplorable state of the streets of the regional capital.

Continuing his momentum, the President said he was hesitant to return to Fénérive-Est. During a previous visit in 2022, he demanded the rehabilitation of the main avenue in the Analanjirofo region. At the time, he said he would not return until the work was completed, a responsibility he had initially handed over to the previous government.

“That’s why we had to change. We need leaders who are ready to work, eager to develop so as not to fall behind. No matter my commitment and my will, if my colleagues cannot keep up, we stagnate,” concluded the President of the Republic.
