One of last year’s big surprises was Unrecord, the FPS that at first glance many thought was a live-action video recorded with a body camera. The scene was so lifelike that many people doubted its authenticity, so the creators were forced to show in the editor that it was indeed a game. We’ve been waiting on pins and needles for Unrecord ever since, but now it looks like it will have a rival.

Moreover, in the eerily similar Bodycam image, which even fits in its title. Reissad Studio is working on the latter game and it will be a multiplayer FPS that wants to exploit the amazing knowledge of Unreal Engine 5. The makers didn’t leave anything to chance: the other day they flashed a half-hour long gameplay demo.

The visual speaks for itself, the creators rightly use the adjective ultra-realistic. The light and shadow effects, textures and models, as well as the use of the camera are also fantastic. And all this in light of the fact that they are actually just two French guys – one of them is twenty, the other is seventeen! – it’s about his work, it makes it even more amazing.

As for the gameplay, Bodycam primarily offers a team deathmatch experience, that is, two teams fight each other until only one survives. The creators said that the project is still very early, so there is still a lot of work to be done. However, a preliminary machine requirement has already been published.

Minimum machine requirements:

  • Processor: Intel Core i7-9700K or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
  • Memory: 8 GB
  • Video card: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 or AMD Radeon RX 5700
  • Hard disk: 30 GB on SSD
  • Operating system: Microsoft Windows 10/11 64bit

According to them, Bodycam will certainly be ready for PC, but it is not yet known when.
