Calls Mount for Prime Minister to Engage Directly with Bondi Community Following Synagogue attack
Following the tragic stabbing attack at Bondi Junction, pressure is building on Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to demonstrate more visible support for the affected Jewish community. “He should come down here as Sussan Ley and I have been down here, every day walking among ordinary Jewish Australians and hearing their anger,” Mr. Leeser stated.
Leeser powerfully articulated the depth of the trauma, stating: “It’s only when you hear the anger, it’s only when you hear the tears of grown men at a funeral, it’s only when you understand the enormity of a 10-year-old child massacred at this place that you will feel the need to take action.”

“I would attend anything that I’m invited to,” he assured reporters. “These are funerals that are taking place to farewell people’s loved ones.”
