Tonight, fans of the program will finally get an answer to that one question: Who is De Mol? Is it Fons Hendriks, Anna Gimbrère or Rosario Mussendijk? Former candidates and Mollen have not yet reached an agreement in discussions with NU.nl.
If you are on the site of Who is the mole? watches, it seems as if viewers have already figured out for a long time: Anna Gimbrère is the saboteur this season. The scientist receives no less than 48 percent of the votes and is therefore the most suspected.
Yet that does not say everything: a week ago Gimbrère was only slightly more suspected than Kees van der Spek. And all viewers now know that he is not the Mole: the journalist had to pack his things last week.
The former Mollen and candidates do not yet agree with each other. And in some cases they haven’t even completely figured it out yet.

Arno Kantelberg, candidate in 2022, is sure: he is fully committed to Fons. “That boy with the mustache! Never trust a man with a ponytail and/or a moustache.”
And Everon Jackson Hooi, who turned out to be the Mole that same year, also knows for sure: Fons. “Rik (van de Westelaken, ed.) said in last week’s episode in the first assignment ‘Kees and Sor did not manage to beat De Mol’. Anna did. So that leaves Fons.”
“I have had Fons from the beginning in the picture“, says Inge Ipenburg. She was the Mole herself in 2007 and still follows the program. “That feeling has not gone away. He doesn’t profile himself much and stays a bit in the background.”
That’s not the only suspicious thing about the Radar-presenter. “The fact that he finds it difficult to react with genuine sadness when people leave, as if it goes just too far for him to screw things up. And he almost always maneuvers himself into a position where he hardly brings in any money or for it can result in a lot of money being spent.”

Or is it Rosario?
Ipenburg is not completely sure of her case. “I also found Rosario suspicious for a long time. Somehow Fons continued to dominate, but Rosario has not completely disappeared from my list. I think Fons, but still: Rosario plays a very small role in my tunnel vision.”
That’s also where things go wrong for Charlotte Nijs. She managed to reach the final in 2021 and now suspects Fons, but also a bit of Rosario (Sor). “I was fully committed to Fons during episode 1. He is still there. It is not Anna anyway. In my opinion, she is the ultimate candidate and winner.”
“I still suspect Fons, but Sor is now also starting to come into the picture. He made a lot of money in that one episode. But I also think it is mainly from a program technical point of view: the makers have hardly shown him in the first episodes “That is cunningly done: this way you keep him on people’s suspect lists for as long as possible. For me it is fifty-fifty whether it is Sor or Fons. In Anna’s look you can just see that she is a candidate and a fighter.”

No, it’s Anna
Daniël Verlaan, winner of the previous season, absolutely disagrees with Nijs. He thinks Anna is the saboteur. “This year I have mainly looked at key positions from the bench: who is where and where would De Mol especially want to be. And Anna is in the most important position much more often than others.”
Verlaan does not give hints or conjectures, he looks purely at the facts. “In episode 1, there were a number of people who did not take an exemption (which later turned out to be worth 1000 euros). Of those people, Anna was the only one who did NOT start painting. Important, because as Mole you will never paint with the painting assignment, because you have no influence on the game there. Who did paint? Sor and Fons.”
Nabil Aoulad Ayad, who was a candidate in the same season as Verlaan, agrees. “Her behavior, the mistakes she makes, slips of the tongue. And the fortune teller says in episode 1 ‘Welcome to Mole Day’. That was on January 6, Anna’s birthday. But it is mainly her behavior when assignments fail: she cheers and freaks out at the same time. Very clever.”
Verlaan thinks that Fons will win the season. “A few episodes ago, Anna suddenly started to focus on Fons, while Fons had been on Anna for a long time. You also saw that with Jurre (Geluk, de Mol last year, ed.) and me. I had been on Jurre for a long time and then Jurre suddenly approached me.”
We’ll know for sure tonight at 8:30 PM. The denouement will then be broadcast live from the Vondelpark in Amsterdam on NPO1.
