The investigation into the robbery of Ali B in 2021 has not yielded any suspects. “The investigation has now been completed, but unfortunately we have not identified a suspect,” a police spokesperson told the news agency ANP.
“If new information emerges at any time, we will of course investigate it again,” the spokesperson added.
Ali Bouali, as the artist is called, was robbed of his Rolex watch in front of his home in Almere at the end of 2021. He and his driver were attacked by several armed people. No one was injured.
The rapper said at the time that he hoped that the perpetrators would be arrested quickly. “But more importantly, I and my family are healthy and unharmed.”
Not long afterwards, his cousin Yes-R was also robbed. The investigation into that case was stopped in May 2022.
