Jupiter Medical Center has officially commenced construction on its second hospital, a 53,000-square-foot facility located within The Health Park at Avenir in western Palm Beach County. The project, which includes a 47,000-square-foot medical office building, is slated for completion in early 2028 and aims to expand access to emergency and specialty medical services for the region’s growing population.
The new campus, situated at the intersection of Northlake Boulevard and Landstar Drive, represents a significant infrastructure expansion for the Jupiter Medical Center health system. According to an official statement from the organization, the facility will feature 29 inpatient beds, four operating rooms, a diagnostic laboratory, imaging services, and 24-hour emergency care. The site is part of the broader Avenir master-planned community, which is approved for 3,650 homes and various commercial amenities.
Expansion of Emergency and Specialty Care
The primary driver for the new hospital is the rapid residential development in western Palm Beach County. By establishing a presence at The Health Park at Avenir, Jupiter Medical Center intends to bring hospital-based services closer to where patients live and work. “Breaking ground on the second hospital in our health system’s history represents a defining step in our continued growth and our mission to expand access to the highest-quality care across our region,” said Amit Rastogi, MD, MHCM, President and CEO of Jupiter Medical Center.

The facility is designed to function as a neighborhood hospital. In addition to the emergency department and inpatient unit, the adjacent three-story medical office building will house specialists in fields including primary care, concierge medicine, orthopedics, cardiology, gastroenterology, pulmonary care, and general surgery.
Project Development and Future Phases
The development of The Health Park at Avenir is being managed by the Palm Beach Gardens-based Sina Companies, with Black Diamond Construction serving as the general contractor. Malcolm Sina, Executive Chairman of Sina Companies, noted that the project reflects their commitment to developing thoughtfully planned medical destinations that meet the needs of growing communities. The current construction phase covers the primary hospital and the initial medical office building, both of which are expected to open in early 2028.
The health complex also is expected to include two separate two-story, 25,000-square-foot medical office buildings, with space available for lease. Jupiter Medical Center said those buildings will break ground at a later date.
Community Impact
As construction progresses, the hospital system is expected to provide updates. Interested parties can monitor the Jupiter Medical Center official newsroom for future milestones and facility updates as the 2028 opening date approaches.
