IndependerDo you have a subscription with Mobile Vikings? Then you are probably rubbing your hands, because the telecom operator recently significantly increased the mobile data of its subscriptions, without increasing the costs. Providers provide data for free

There seems to be a ‘war for most data’ raging. To do this, you only have to look at the news of the past few months. May 2023: Proximus gives its customers more mobile data. August 2023: hey! doubles mobile data. November 2023: Scarlet launches a new pack with more mobile data. Telenet increases the data of mobile subscriptions…

And today the battle for the most calling minutes, text messages and mobile data at the lowest price continues. How does Mobile Vikings score, which recently significantly increased its mobile data without increasing the price?

Too many or too few calling minutes/data at the end of the month? This way you don’t pay too much and you never have to charge anything again.

How much more mobile data do you get?

Do you still have an old subscription of 12 euros with Mobile Vikings? Then you recently receive 5 GB monthly instead of 4 GB mobile data. However, you can no longer take out that subscription again. Is 4 GB sufficient? In that case, choose the cheapest formula of 10 euros per month. From now on, for 15 euros per month you get 15 GB instead of 10 GB, for 20 euros 30 GB instead of 20 GB, and for 29 euros 85 GB instead of 70 GB.

Is Mobile Vikings the cheapest?

Do Mobile Vikings’ mobile phone subscriptions now top the ranks of the cheapest mobile phone operators? Or will Youfone remain the undisputed leader? To be clear, we do not take the price per GB into account, because then Mobile Vikings is always low in the ranking.

With its cheapest subscription of 150 calling minutes, unlimited texting and 4 GB mobile data for 10 euros per month, Mobile Vikings is only… in fifteenth place. For 9 euros per month you get 6 GB with 200 calling minutes or text messages from Youfone. Or for 7 euros per month: 200 calling minutes or text messages and 4 GB mobile data. And there are also discounted subscriptions: with Orange GO Light you get unlimited text messages, 150 calling minutes and 6 GB mobile data for the first six months for 10 euros.

What about the Mobile Vikings subscription of 15 euros per month, for 15 GB and unlimited calling and texting? Is this a price breaker? Not again. In itself, this is the most chosen subscription, but again Youfone does better with normally 14 euros and currently only 7 euros for unlimited calling, texting and 20 GB.

Try again with the Mobile Vikings subscription of 20 euros per month for unlimited calling, unlimited texting and 30 GB mobile data. We currently see this offer mainly being beaten by other subscriptions with more GBs and discounts. Such as Mobilus Maxi from Proximus: unlimited calling and texting with 50 GB, the first six months at 19.99 euros per month (instead of 29.99 euros). But the strongest is again Youfone: unlimited calling and texting, with 40 GB mobile data. Three months for 10 euros, then for 20 euros.

And then there is the Mobile Vikings subscription of 29 euros per month that gives you unlimited calling, texting and 85 GB of mobile data. Mobile Vikings does win here. You can find a mobile subscription with unlimited calling and texting and 80 GB of mobile data for 25 euros per month at hey!, and 22 euros for the first year at Orange, but no one offers a cheaper subscription with 85 GB.
