She wrote on the X social network that A. Navalny’s associates called most of the private and public funeral agencies, armories and commercial event venues.

“Some said the premises were occupied. Some refused to rent them at the mere mention of Navalny’s name. In one place, we were directly told that funeral offices are forbidden to work with us,” wrote K. Jarmyš.

K. Jarmyš announced on Monday that A. Navalno’s associates are looking for a room for a public farewell to the politician, which is planned to be held “at the end of this working week”. She urged those with a suitable facility to contact the politician’s associates. In the last 24 hours, until Tuesday, the room had not been found, she wrote.

On February 16, the Board of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia reported that A. Navalny died in the “Polar Wolf” colony.

The politician’s body was handed over to his mother Lyudmila Navalnaya only nine days later. Navalny said she was asked to bury her son in secret and without a public farewell, but she refused to comply. It is expected that A. Navalny will be buried in one of the Moscow cemeteries, but neither the place nor the date of the funeral have been announced yet.
