Rowing on the tailwaters of Steam Deck and Nintendo Switch, more and more manufacturers are trying their luck in the handheld console market. New challengers keep coming, after ROG Ally, Lenovo Legion GO launched, and at CES in Las Vegas, MSI Claw was also unveiled. These hardwares differ in many ways, but one thing is constant: they all use AMD graphics chips, which seems to annoy the greenies.

The host of the Moore’s Law is Dead YouTube channel has learned from industry sources that the company has very serious plans to find a partner for a premium handheld device.

The identity of the partner is still unknown, but it is certain that a company must be found to supply the processor, since, unlike Intel and AMD, Nvidia cannot manufacture x86 processors.

Supposedly, they would already team up with the blue ones to realize such a device, but since the CPU and GPU would still be separate hardware, a single cooler is not enough, but a solution similar to laptops is needed. And the release of such hardware could be years away, so with the exception of the Nintendo Switch 2 (which is expected to get an Nvidia GPU), we will have to wait for the release for a while longer.
