The lowest temperatures will be reached on Wednesday this week. Because cloud fields dominate for a long time, the maximum temperatures this day are between 14 and 18 degrees. That is certainly not cold, but it is slightly less warm than the 16 to 19 degrees that is usual for this time of year. During the afternoon the sun may get a little more space. You can read everything about the weather on this Wednesday in our extensive weather report.

Rising temperatures

On Ascension Day the temperature is a bit higher. It will eventually be 16 degrees in the coastal provinces and 18-20 degrees inland. However, it will not be sunny. The day starts off quite foggy in some areas, but after sunrise this clears up in many places. Only the coastal areas can suffer from it until well into the morning.

There are some clouds and cumulus clouds spread over the country, with most clouds reserved for the interior. However, there is no precipitation and in combination with little wind it is wonderful weather to do something active outside. However, the weather on the beaches can be disappointing. Due to the wind from the sea, it can remain foggy on the beaches and then it is only 14 degrees.

Sometimes a lot fresher by the sea!

During the long Ascension weekend, the areas near the sea and the Wadden Islands are always a popular destination. It is also a good place to be here these days, because it remains dry with considerable sunny periods on the beaches from Friday. However, considerably lower temperatures must be taken into account here than inland, due to a northern sea breeze. It will be 18 degrees on the western beaches on Friday, but as soon as the sea wind picks up it can cool down to 14 degrees. It will be 15-17 degrees on the Wadden.

It could also reach 20 degrees in the western coastal areas on Saturday, but these values will probably be reached at the beginning of the afternoon. During the afternoon there is a good chance that there will be a sea breeze rises. This can cause it to cool down considerably. It is therefore definitely advisable to take a jacket with you to be on the safe side when you go out. There will be a moderate easterly wind on Sunday and there is a small chance of sea wind. That will probably be the most beautiful beach day with maximum temperatures of 22-24 degrees.

The sun is brightest in the middle of the day, between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. You can also burn in the hour before and after, but less quickly.
