At the same time as Prime Video will roll out new ones The Boys they are enjoying a revival with another TV series based on the IP. The video role-playing game Fallout – which started in 1997 – has become a success as a series for Amazon. They claim that 65 million people watched Season 1 of the critically acclaimed post-apocalyptic sci-fi action comedy in its first two weeks. Of course, that means we get Fallout season 2. The series is created by Graham Wagnern (The Office, Silicon Valley) and Geneva Robertson-Dworet (Tomb Raider, Captain Marvel).

Amazon says that The Boys Season 4 premieres on Prime Video on June 13. That is, two years after the final of the previous season. The streamer will release the first three episodes of season eight on the first day. Prime Video and series creator Eric Kripke served up an extra over-the-top Season 3, which is nearly as strong as the first two.

The satirical, absurdly violent and sometimes clever series is still better than most of what Marvel and DC serve up today. Watch the teaser below.

The corruption and power struggle at Vought International – and among their compound V-created superheroes – continues in the fourth season of The Boys. Now there is extra chaos after the megalomaniacal sociopath John Gillman aka Homelander (New Zealand’s Antony Starr) took a kind of version of Donald Trump’s “I can shoot someone that I would have lost some voters”.

While his followers are even scarier than MAGA fanatics. The political slant continues in season 4 with Victoria Neuman (Australian Claudia Doumit) running for vice president of the United States.

We also get to see series newcomer Jeffrey Dean Morgan (The Walking Dead, Supernatural), along with The Boys boss Billy Butcher. He is played by New Zealander Karl Urban (The Bourne Supremacy, Thor: Ragnarok).
